singapore day 4 fun

i just read an article about traveling and what its purpose is. it was a great read simply because its point was this: traveling is one of the best things you can do for yourself and for others. if you deliberately create your itineraries to achieve a worthwhile goal you set (getting closer to God, finishing a novel), then traveling will always be worth it. so beyond the fun and the photos, traveling is an experience for the mind and the heart. if you choose to find inspiration and to give it back to others, then going on trips will be more than just a waste of money and of gasoline.

i sure hope i was able to read that article before we went to singapore, because on our fourth day together in our first out of the country trip, gail and i did nothing but hang out and wait for time to pass. not that it didnt have a purpose, but it sure could have used a little more seasoning, if you know what i mean. too bad that 2012 does not seem to be a year for traveling, naka quota na kami this past year e. but time and again, id chance upon a blog or an article that tells me traveling isnt a guilty pleasure, it's something that feeds the soul and its always, always worth it. if God will give us a couple of trips this year, ill make it a point to soak in all the love and give some back wherever we'll go.

like i said, we did almost nothing on day 4. we just went back to orchard road (our fave place in sg), chatted and hugged somewhere in the marina bay sands area. plus we just took photos of names of people we know while we strolled the streets of singapore. hehe.
